trying to replace a straight ORFS female end, is this the one that fits a -12 hose with 1-3/16-12 threads?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 24, 2025, 6:54 AM
It matches a -12 hose end with a 1-3/16-12 Female SAE O-Ring Face Seal connection, and it is a straight steel reusable 1 wire braid fitting (MPN FJ9706-1212S).

fitting says reusable -- how many times can you actually pull it apart and put it back together before it starts giving you trouble?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 28, 2025, 6:00 AM
Reusability on this style of fitting refers to the ability to disassemble and reinstall it without replacing the fitting itself, which is a real cost saver compared to crimp-only fittings. The steel construction holds up well across multiple installations. That said, the hose end and the O-ring sealing surface should be inspected each time you break it down. As long as the hose isn't damaged and the sealing faces are clean and undamaged, the fitting can be reassembled and put back into service. There's no published cycle limit from the manufacturer, but keeping those two things in good shape is what determines how many times you'll get reliable use out of it.
