trying to swap out an old fitting, how do i know if this one matches up?

Match it up by the connection details: it is a straight, three-piece reusable steel fitting for -06 hose, with a 5/8-18 female SAE 45 degree flare swivel on one end. It is also called a reduced bore fitting, so it is not a full-bore style.

fitting says "reduced bore" on it, does that mean flow's gonna be restricted compared to a standard -06 fitting?

Reduced bore fittings do flow slightly less than full bore versions of the same hose size. For most -06 hose applications running moderate flow rates, the difference is not going to cause problems. Where it matters is in high-flow or pressure-sensitive circuits where every bit of restriction adds up. If your system is already running close to its flow limits, a full bore fitting would be the better call. For general industrial use though, reduced bore is common and perfectly workable.
