Will this fitting hold up if I'm using it for a hydraulic system on a farm tractor?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 11, 2025, 6:17 AM
This steel fitting is engineered for demanding industrial applications, so it should be suitable for the hydraulic system on a farm tractor, assuming the pressure and fluid compatibility are within the specified ranges.
Question by: Harvey M on Mar 4, 2026, 2:08 PM
fitting says reusable, does that mean i can pull it off the hose and put it back on a different one, or is that just marketing talk?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 5, 2026, 5:41 PM
Reusable here means exactly what it says. The fitting is designed without a mandrel requirement, so you're not crimping or permanently deforming anything during installation. When you need to swap it to a different hose, you can break it down and reassemble it on a new one. That said, "reusable" refers to the fitting itself, not unlimited cycles without inspection. Check the components for wear each time before reassembly.

trying to replace a little 90 on a -05 hose, is this the one with 1/2-20 inverted flare male threads?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 11, 2026, 6:02 AM
Fit comes down to two callouts on this piece: it is a 1/2-20 SAE male inverted flare on the end, and the hose side is for -05 hose in a short 90 degree elbow. If your old fitting matches those, this is the same style connection.
