Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 1, 2025, 12:19 PM
It’s a 45 degree elbow made for -04 hose with a 7/16-20 SAE male inverted flare connection. It’s a reduced bore, reusable steel fitting.

Will this fitting hold up alright in a hydraulic system on some farm equipment?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 4, 2025, 6:45 AM
This steel fitting is made by Eaton Aeroquip, so it's designed to be plenty durable for industrial applications like that. The steel construction should resist wear and tear just fine.
Question by: Scott M on Jan 31, 2026, 1:26 PM
does this fitting need any thread sealant when you put it on, or does it seal up on its own?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 1, 2026, 9:09 PM
No sealant needed on this one. The 7/16-20 SAE male inverted flare connection is made to seal by metal-to-mouth contact at the flare seat, so adding tape or compound would actually work against you. Just get it seated properly and torqued right and you're good to go.
