Question by: Rusty K on Nov 25, 2025, 9:24 PM
got a 3/4 ID air whip hose, will this barb match up right or am i off a size
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 27, 2025, 9:08 PM
For hose fit, the barb is made for 0.75 inch ID hose, so it matches a 3/4 inch inside diameter whip hose. On the other end you get a 3/4-14 male NPT thread for tying into a female NPT port or coupler.
Question by: Kirk H on Sep 29, 2025, 9:14 PM
fitting's been giving me trouble on the whip hose off my pavement breaker. is this the kind that holds up to all that shaking, or do i need something heavier duty?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 1, 2025, 2:50 PM
Heat-treated steel is exactly what makes this one worth using on vibrating equipment. Pavement breakers and air drills are specifically what this fitting is built around, so the constant shaking and stress that kills standard fittings tends not to be an issue here. The zinc plating adds a layer of corrosion protection on top of that, which helps when fittings are taking a beating in rough conditions. Just make sure your hose ID measures 0.75 inches and your tool port is a 3/4-14 NPT thread, and you should be in good shape.
