been trying to track down the right size clamp for a vinyl coolant line on a small engine setup, the hose OD runs right around .840 inches. this one gonna work or is that pushing the limits of the range?

That measurement falls comfortably within the clamping range on this one, which runs from 0.764 to 0.890 inches. At .840 you have got room on both ends, so it should seat well. One thing worth knowing on the install side: when you crimp it down, you want to see roughly a 1/16 inch gap remaining in the ear after pinching. That little bit of tension is what gives it a spring-like grip against pressure, vibration, and any shrinkage the hose sees over time from heat cycles.

trying to clamp a silicone line right around 7/8, is this the right size or am i gonna fight it?
