So this seal fits into a groove that's 1.233 inches across, right? Just want to make sure I'm reading that correctly.
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 10, 2025, 2:10 PM
That's correct. This seal is designed to fit snugly into a groove with a diameter of 1.233 inches. The groove width tolerance is ±0.002 inches, so make sure your groove is within that range for the best fit.
Question by: Dustin F on Jan 13, 2026, 5:41 PM
got a cylinder with a 1.625 bore. is this style 1400 seal the right size or am i off a hair
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 15, 2026, 8:02 AM
Fit comes down to the bore, piston, and groove numbers. This seal is sized for a 1.625 inch bore with a ±0.002 inch tolerance, and it pairs with a 1.622 inch piston diameter with a ±0.001 inch tolerance. It also fits a 1.233 inch groove diameter, with the groove width held to ±0.002 inch.
Question by: Daryl C on Sep 13, 2025, 6:42 PM
what's the temp range on this seal? got equipment that sees both cold mornings and pretty hot afternoon cycles and just want to make sure it'll hold up
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 15, 2025, 10:13 AM
Rated from -40°F up to 220°F, so it covers a solid spread on both ends. Cold startups and warm running conditions through a full workday should fall well within that window.
