This Style 1600 Glass-Filled PTFE Piston Seal from Hercules Sealing Products is designed for a 4.00 inch bore.

The seal features a 3.60 inch groove diameter and a 0.085 inch seal cross-section. Constructed with a 15% glass-filled PTFE seal and a rubber energizer, it withstands pressures from 0 to 5,000 PSI and temperatures ranging from -40°F to 220°F.

trying to swap out an old piston seal, will this one fit a 4.00 bore and 3.60 groove dia?

Got a cylinder with a 4-inch bore that needs a new piston seal. This the right one, or do I need to be looking at something else?

The piston diameter it's sized for comes in at 3.999 inches, with a tolerance of +0 / -0.004, so it should drop right into a standard 4-inch piston setup. The groove diameter is 3.60 inches, and the cross-section runs 0.085 inches. As long as your existing groove matches those dimensions, you're in good shape.
