Engineered for effective filtration the STAUFF 1910001910 features a glass fiber reinforced polyamide head ensuring long-lasting performance. The pleated stainless steel wire screen bonded with epoxy enhances reliability and ease of maintenance.

This suction strainer equipped with a 1-1/2 NPT port and 120.0 mesh size supports a rated flow of up to 36.4 GPM. With a diameter of 3.46 inches and a length of 5.51 inches it is designed for optimal efficiency.

Primarily used submerged in reservoirs to protect hydraulic pumps from larger solid contaminants the strainer should be mounted horizontally with the top at least 3 inches below the lowest oil level to prevent cavitation. An access opening is necessary for easy removal and cleaning.

got a 1-1/2 inch NPT suction line coming off my reservoir -- this strainer rated to handle that kind of flow without choking the pump?

At up to 36.4 GPM, it handles a solid range of suction line demand without starving the pump. The 120 mesh pleated stainless steel screen gives you good filtration without creating excessive restriction, and the 182 square inches of screen area helps keep flow moving even as the element picks up contaminants over time. Just make sure you mount it horizontally with the top sitting at least 3 inches below your lowest oil level -- cavitation is the main thing to guard against on the suction side, and depth is your first line of defense there.
