This solenoid cartridge valve by Danfoss, known for its reliability and compact design, is engineered to meet the demanding requirements of harvesters and industrial applications. Featuring a 2-way, 2-position, normally closed operation, it ensures high performance with a flow rating of 35 GPM and a pressure rating of 3000 PSI.
Constructed from hardened and ground steel, it guarantees durability and longevity. The valve operates with a sealing material of Buna-N, offering robust resistance to various conditions. Its installation type as a screw-in cartridge makes it versatile for diverse setups.
Notably, the valve offers minimal internal leakage, ensuring efficient functionality. The recommended filtration level of ISO 4406 Cleanliness Level 18/16/13 or cleaner is advised for optimal performance. It operates within a wide temperature range from -40deg;F to 248deg;F, making it suitable for extreme environmental conditions.
The SV1-16-C Series 2-Way, 2-Position, Normally Closed Solenoid Cartridge Valve, housing none, and coil not included, is compatible with J Series 20 Watt coils, sold separately.

You'll need a separate housing with a C-16-2 cavity for this cartridge valve to screw into. This particular product is just the cartridge itself.
Question by: Howard B on Aug 19, 2025, 9:55 AM
bought one of these a while back but never got around to installing it, does this thing come with a coil or do I need to order that separate?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 20, 2025, 1:55 PM
The coil is not included and has to be ordered separately. Same goes for the housing. What you're getting here is the cartridge valve itself, model SV1-16-C-0-00, which screws into a C-16-2 cavity. The coil you'll want is from the J series, rated at 20 watts. Both the coil and the housing are sold as separate items, so make sure you've got all three pieces before you go to install it.
Question by: Dean T on Mar 28, 2025, 8:22 PM
got a SV1-16-C-0-00 on the bench, does this one come with the coil and the housing or am I buying those separate?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 30, 2025, 8:13 PM
Coil and housing are not included with this valve. It is a screw-in cartridge only for a C-16-2 cavity, and the J series coil (listed as 23 W) is a separate item.
Question by: Stan J on Dec 24, 2025, 3:54 PM
Will this valve work alright in a hydraulic system on a combine?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 26, 2025, 9:35 AM
It's suitable for harvesters, so it should function properly in your combine's hydraulic system, assuming the system's requirements align with its 35 GPM flow rate and 3000 PSI pressure rating.
Question by: Kirk J on Apr 13, 2025, 4:46 PM
does this thing come with the coil or do I have to buy that separate
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 14, 2025, 9:51 PM
The coil is sold separately. You'll need a J Series 20 Watt coil to go with it, and the housing is also a separate purchase since this listing is for the cartridge valve only. The cavity size you're looking for is C-16-2 if you're sourcing the housing on your own.
Question by: Lynn K on May 2, 2025, 9:58 PM
got a cavity block already, what does this one need for mounting
Answer by: Customer Support on May 4, 2025, 8:16 AM
For installation it needs a machined cavity, specifically cavity size C-16-2, since it is a screw-in cartridge valve and the housing is not included.
