The SV1-8-3 Series 3-Way, 2-Position, Solenoid Cartridge Valve, housing none and coil not included, is a versatile and essential component for mobile and industrial applications such as harvesters and refuse haulers.

This direct-acting valve operates efficiently with a pressure rating of 3000 PSI across all ports and allows flow control with minimal internal leakage mdash; 5 insup3; per minute maximum at 3000 PSI.

Constructed with hardened and ground steel, this reliable and compact valve also features a recommended filtration level of ISO 4406 Cleanliness Level 18/16/13 or cleaner, ensuring longevity and performance.

With a flow rating of 3 GPM and suitable for cavity size C-8-3 (housing sold separately), the SV1-8-3 valve meets rigorous industry standards.

Operating within a temperature range from -40deg;F to 248deg;F, the valve's Buna-N seals and screw-in cartridge design make it suitable for harsh environments.

In its de-energized position, the valve allows flow from port 2 to port 1 while port 3 is blocked. Conversely, in the energized position, flow is permitted from port 1 to port 3 while port 2 is blocked.

What's actually happening inside this valve when it ain't energized, like which ports are open and which ones are blocked?

When the solenoid is de-energized, flow moves from port 2 to port 1, and port 3 stays blocked. Flip it to energized and the situation reverses, port 1 flows to port 3, and port 2 gets blocked. That makes it well suited for setups like single acting cylinders where you need separate pressure and tank lines routed through the same valve body.
