Description & Features

Designed for mobile and industrial hydraulic circuits, this screw-in cartridge valve handles up to 5,000 PSI and flows up to 12 GPM through a compact, hardened and ground steel body. In the de-energized state, flow from port 2 to port 1 is blocked, while free flow is permitted from port 1 to port 2. When energized, the pilot poppet lifts off its seat, allowing bidirectional flow. The SV13-10-C Series 2-Way, 2-Position, Normally Closed Solenoid Cartridge Valve fits a C-10-2 cavity and is suited for harvesters, refuse haulers, and a broad range of mobile and industrial hydraulic applications.

Coil and housing are sold separately. The valve uses Buna-N seals, requires ISO 4406 cleanliness level 18/16/13 or cleaner, and operates across a temperature range of -40° to 212°F. Note that pressures exceeding 3,000 PSI require a steel housing or manifold. Internal leakage is rated at 5 drops per minute maximum at 5,000 PSI. The coil is a 10 Series, 29-Watt configuration, also sold separately.

trying to hold a load with low leakage, is this the kind of valve for that or is it more of a dump valve deal

For low leakage load holding, the SV13-10-C is a good fit since it is a poppet style, normally closed, pilot operated 2-way valve with internal leakage listed at 5 drops per minute max at 5000 PSI. It also gets used as a general purpose diverter or dump valve, so it can cover either role depending on how you plumb ports 1 and 2 in your circuit.
