The SV3-10-C Series 2-Way, 2-Position, Normally Closed Solenoid Cartridge Valve by Danfoss-Hydraulics is engineered for high-pressure applications up to 350 bar (5000 psi) with a flow rating of 12 GPM and internal leakage of less than 5 drops per minute at 210 bar. This direct acting valve, utilized in mobile and industrial sectors such as harvesters and refuse haulers, optimally blocks flow from port 2 to port 1 when de-energized, and allows bidirectional flow when energized.
Constructed from hardened and ground steel, it features a Buna-N seal, and requires a recommended filtration level of 18/16/13 microns. It operates effectively within a temperature range of -40deg;F to 248deg;F. It fits a cavity size C-10-2 and comes without a housing or coil, both of which must be sourced separately. This cartridge-only model integrates seamlessly into screw-in cartridge systems.
The product supports a reliable, economical, and compact design, making it an excellent choice for hydraulic systems requiring efficient solenoid operation. The solenoid connectors comply with DIN 43650 standards.

What size filtration do you recommend for this valve?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 19, 2025, 8:39 PM
Maintaining a filtration level of ISO 4406 18/16/13 or cleaner will help ensure proper operation and longevity of this valve.

got a question on how this valve acts when the coil ain’t powered, which way is blocked and which way still flows?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 23, 2025, 10:43 AM
In the de-energized state it blocks flow from port 2 to port 1, and it still allows free flow from port 1 to port 2. When you energize it, the poppet lifts and you get flow allowed in either direction.
Question by: Lyle R on Nov 25, 2025, 4:52 PM
what's the flow situation on this valve, is 12 GPM the hard limit or just a rated number?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 27, 2025, 9:25 AM
Twelve GPM is the group flow rating for this cartridge. The broader spec sheet shows the valve series is built to handle up to 60 USgpm and 5000 psi at the design level, but the C-10-2 cavity configuration this cartridge fits into is rated for 12 GPM in that group. Running it at the rated flow keeps internal leakage in check, which is listed at less than 5 drops per minute max at 3000 PSI. Staying within that range is where you get reliable, repeatable shutoff behavior.
Question by: Shane C on Sep 22, 2025, 4:11 PM
does this valve come with the coil and housing, or do them need to be sourced separate?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 24, 2025, 12:59 PM
The cartridge itself is all you get with this one. No coil, no housing. Both need to be ordered separately. The housing requires a C-10-2 cavity, and the coil is a J Series 20 Watt unit. Worth making sure you have both lined up before you try to get this thing installed.
Question by: Phil P on Apr 27, 2025, 9:48 PM
What size cavity does this valve fit? Just want to make sure it'll work in my setup.
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 29, 2025, 5:57 PM
This cartridge valve fits a C-10-2 size cavity.
Question by: Janet H on May 26, 2025, 7:26 AM
trying to swap out a bad cartridge, does this SV3-10-C fit the C-10-2 cavity or am i lookin at the wrong one
Answer by: Customer Support on May 27, 2025, 11:29 AM
Fit comes down to the cavity, and this valve is built for cavity size C-10-2. It is a screw-in cartridge valve and it ships as cartridge only, so you will still need a compatible housing and the coil separately.
