Group Description	The SV3-16-O is a 2-way, 2-position, poppet-type, pilot operated, normally open screw-in cartridge solenoid valve, and requires a machined cavity or housing for installation.
Flow Rating	35 GPM.
Housing	Cavity size C-16-2, sold separately, see
Internal Leakage	Port 2 to Port 1: Less than 5 drops per minute maximum @ 3000 PSI with valve energized.
Note	Performance data is typical with fluid at 105 SSU and 120°F.
Operation	In the de-energized position, this valve allows bi-directional flow between port 1 and port 2. In the energized position, flow is blocked from port 2 to port 1, and is allowed from port 1 to port 2 when spring force is overcome.
Pressure Rating	3000 PSI.
Recommended Filtration	ISO 4406 Cleanliness Level 18/16/13 or cleaner.
Solenoid Connectors	(Required on models that use DIN 43650 connectors).
Temperature Range	-40°F to 248°F (Extreme Limits).

How critical is it to have really clean fluid running through this valve? Like, what's the worst that can happen if the hydraulic fluid isn't up to snuff?

ISO 4406 Cleanliness Level 18/16/13 or cleaner is recommended. Going with dirtier fluid could cause the valve to not operate correctly or even damage it over time.
