Designed for mobile and industrial hydraulic circuits, the SV4-10-3 Series 3-Way, 2-Position Solenoid Cartridge Valve is a direct-acting, spool-type screw-in cartridge valve rated to 3,000 PSI with a flow rating of 6 GPM. It installs into a C-10-3 machined cavity or housing, which is sold separately.
In the de-energized state, flow passes from port 1 to port 2 while port 3 is blocked. When energized, flow routes from port 2 to port 3 while port 1 is blocked. The valve operates across a wide temperature range of -40°F to 248°F and is built from hardened and ground steel with Buna-N seals.
Suited for harvesters, refuse haulers, and a broad range of mobile and industrial hydraulic applications. Recommended filtration is ISO 4406 cleanliness level 18/16/13 or cleaner. Manufactured by Eaton Vickers, now under Danfoss Power Solutions.

what exactly happens when this valve ain't energized, does it just block everything or is flow still moving somewhere?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 26, 2025, 3:36 PM
Flow stays active between ports 1 and 2 in the de-energized state, while port 3 stays blocked. Once you energize it, that switches over, port 2 routes to port 3 and port 1 gets blocked. It's a full path swap, not a shutoff, so fluid is always moving through one of those two routes depending on whether the solenoid is pulled in or not.
