Question by: Bobby O on May 7, 2025, 11:54 AM
got a line that sees hot air and a little steam now and then. is this hose meant for that kind of service?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 9, 2025, 9:48 AM
For hot air, steam, compressor discharge, and many chemical applications, this PTFE tube hose with a stainless single wire braid is a common fit. It is also rated for a wide temperature range from -100°F up to +500°F, which lines up with those hotter services.
Question by: Phil S on Nov 2, 2025, 3:47 PM
been lookin for a hose that can handle steam and compressor discharge without falling apart on me -- this one rated for that kind of service?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 4, 2025, 6:37 AM
Steam and compressor discharge are both listed applications for this hose, so yes, it holds up to those conditions. The extruded PTFE tube paired with a stainless steel single wire braid is what makes it viable in those environments. It handles temperatures from -100F all the way up to 500F and runs at up to 1500 PSI, so most compressor discharge setups fall well within that range. One thing worth knowing upfront is that it is not rated for steam-to-cold-water cycling. If the line sees rapid temperature swings between hot steam and cold water, this is not the right choice for that duty.

What kind of stuff is this hose good for handling?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 2, 2025, 9:29 PM
It's designed to handle hot air, steam, and compressor discharge, along with a variety of chemicals.
Question by: Joyce B on Aug 20, 2025, 6:53 PM
got a tight turn to make, how sharp can i bend this hose without kinkin it
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 21, 2025, 7:44 PM
Keep the bend radius at 6.5 inches or larger. That minimum bend radius is the point where you start risking damage or flow restriction if you try to curve it any tighter.
