Will this hose hold up ok in an engine compartment?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 25, 2025, 11:54 AM
Designed for demanding industrial environments, this silicone hose can certainly handle the temperatures you'd find under the hood. Silicone is known for its excellent resistance to extreme temperatures, making it suitable for both hot and cold fluid systems.
Question by: Shane P on Apr 28, 2025, 6:04 AM
Got a cooling line on a piece of equipment that runs at a pretty sharp angle off the pump housing, would a 45-degree elbow like this one work better than trying to force a straight hose into that kind of bend?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 30, 2025, 6:40 AM
A 45-degree elbow is exactly the right move when a straight hose would have to fight the routing. Forcing a straight section into a tight angular run puts stress on the fittings and can cause the hose to kink over time. With a 2.50-inch inner diameter and a 6-inch leg, this one gives you enough straight section on each end to make clean, secure connections without a lot of struggle at the joint.
