Product Questions & Answers (3)
Question by: Dean W on Aug 28, 2025, 3:56 PM
what's the connection size on this Dixon fire nozzle, and is FNPSH the same as a standard garden hose thread?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 29, 2025, 7:46 PM
FNPSH stands for Female National Pipe Straight Hose, which is a hose thread standard rather than tapered pipe thread. The connection on this nozzle is 3/4 inch FNPSH. Garden hose fittings typically run on GHT, which is also 3/4 inch and shares the same thread pitch and diameter, so in most cases they mate up just fine. Worth double-checking your hose end fitting before assuming they'll connect without an adapter, but the two standards are generally compatible at that size.

Constructed from durable plastic, this fire nozzle is designed to provide long-lasting service for various industrial needs. It should be suitable for continuous use given its robust design.

got a hose with a 3/4 inch FNPSH end on it. is this nozzle the right match?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 24, 2025, 1:38 PM
With a 3/4 inch FNPSH connection, it’s meant to thread onto hoses or fittings that have the matching 3/4 inch FNPSH end so you get a secure fit and help cut down on leakage.
