Description & Features

Optimized for challenging industrial environments this hydraulic tie rod cylinder features a 3-inch bore and 8-inch stroke. The 1.25-inch rod diameter adds structural robustness paired with 1/2 NPT ports to facilitate fluid management.

Constructed with 1045 cast steel clevises and a 65-45-12 ductile iron cast head the cylinder boasts a Grade 8 piston nut torqued and secured with thread locker. Double-acting piston seals provide single-acting functionalities as well.

It includes a double lip U-cup rod seal to block external contaminants and moisture. Induction hardened chrome-plated rods undergoing 90 hours in ASTM B117-02 salt spray tests ensure protection against corrosion. Static and dynamic pressure tests verify it meets recommended specifications.

With a 2500 PSI maximum operating pressure and a rated load of 17600 it is ideal for rigorous hydraulic applications. The ductile iron piston and molded ribs enhance seal stability offering a reliable and durable solution for industrial configurations.

got a 3 inch bore cylinder spot, will this one match up on the basics?

Fit wise, it is a 3.00 inch bore tie rod cylinder with an 8.00 inch stroke, a 1.25 inch rod, and 1/2 NPT ports. Mounting length is 20.25 inches pin to pin retracted and 28.25 inches pin to pin extended, and it uses a 1 inch pin.

Is this cylinder good for a log splitter build?
