The Tie Rod Hydraulic Cylinder 3.00 Inch Bore 1.50 Inch Rod Diameter 24.00 Inch Stroke 1/2 NPT Ports from Bailey Sales Corp. offers optimal performance in demanding applications. With a maximum operating pressure of 2500 PSI this cylinder is engineered for high pressure environments.

Constructed with 1045 cast steel clevises and a 65-45-12 ductile iron cast head it ensures durability and reliability. The 1.5 inch chrome plated induction hardened rod withstands rigorous conditions.

Designed with double-acting piston seals and single-acting capabilities it provides efficient fluid control. The heavy-duty Grade 8 piston nut is torqued to exact specifications enhancing overall durability. In addition the 24-inch stroke length meets extensive operational requirements.

To avoid buckling during extension this cylinder incorporates a robust design backed by meticulous static and dynamic pressure testing. The special snap-in wiper seals effectively prevent contamination and moisture ingress.

Rod's chrome plated on this thing, but how's it hold up when it's getting pushed and pulled hard day after day? Salt, mud, whatever gets thrown at it out in the field?

Chrome plated and induction hardened is a solid combination for rod durability. These rods go through a minimum 90-hour salt spray test using the ASTM B117-02 procedure before they leave the factory, so they're not just glossed over with a thin coat and called good. The snap-in wiper seals also play a role here. They're designed specifically to keep outside contamination and moisture from working their way in past the rod, and the molded ribs on those seals add stability and help prevent pressure from getting trapped. For field conditions with regular exposure to dirt and moisture, that setup holds up well over time.

got a cylinder that’s 3 bore, 1.5 rod, and 24 stroke with 1/2 npt ports. is this TR2.5-3024 the right match or am i missin something?
