Designed to meet industrial needs this hydraulic tie rod cylinder boasts a 4.00-inch bore 1.25-inch rod diameter and 8.00-inch stroke ensuring reliable performance across various applications. With a robust construction featuring 1045 cast steel clevises and a 65-45-12 ductile iron cast head it is built to withstand demanding environments.

It includes a double-acting piston seal with single-acting capabilities and the ductile iron piston and double lip U-cup seal offer longevity and resilience. Induction-hardened chrome-plated rods tested for corrosion resistance through 90 hours of ASTM B117-02 salt spray tests enhance durability.

The cylinder operates at a maximum pressure of 2500 PSI and has a 2000 PSI pressure rating. Static and dynamic pressure tests ensure adherence to specifications. This model accommodates a rated load of 25400 fitting industrial pressure applications with efficiency.

Designed to mitigate excessive column loading the long stroke ensures stability with pin-to-pin extended and retracted measures of 26.25 inches and 18.25 inches respectively. Specially-designed wiper seals prevent contamination and moisture ingress.

got a 4 inch bore setup already. is this one the tie rod cylinder with the 1.25 rod and 8 inch stroke, or am i lookin at the wrong thing

For size and basic fit, it matches a 4.00 inch bore, 1.25 inch rod diameter, and an 8.00 inch stroke. Mounting length is 18.25 inches pin to pin retracted and 26.25 inches pin to pin extended, and the ports are 1/2 NPT.

Is this cylinder gonna hold up if I'm usin' it pretty much all day, every day?

Maximum operating pressure is 2500 PSI, and it's been tested to hold up under both static and dynamic pressure conditions. Plus, the piston rod's induction hardened and chrome plated, so it should resist corrosion even with a lot of use.

For pushing applications, the 1.25-inch rod handles the rated load just fine at the pressures this cylinder operates at.
