VFD50 Series Variable Priority Flow Dividers VFD50-30-A | TSK5468-1

Description & Features

The WEBTEC VFD50 Series Variable Priority Flow Dividers are designed to optimize hydraulic actuator performance by allowing precise control of flow rates. Engineered for versatility, this flow divider handles a maximum flow of 30 L/min (8 US gpm) and withstands pressures up to 250 bar (3600 psi). Its robust construction includes steel components housed in a durable cast SG iron body, complemented by an aluminum knob for easy adjustments.

The flow divider's performance remains reliable across a wide fluid temperature range from -30 to 120 °C (-22 to 248 °F) and ambient temperatures between -30 and 50 °C (-22 to 122 °F). Compatible with mineral oils per ISO 11158, it features 3/8" NPTF porting for seamless integration into various hydraulic systems. With its hardened steel and high carbon spring steel internals, along with NBR seals, this flow divider ensures durability and longevity in demanding environments.

Question by: Terry P on Jul 3, 2025, 9:37 AM
porting on this is 3/8" NPTF, does that mean standard NPT fittings will thread in or do I need NPTF-specific hardware?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 5, 2025, 7:41 AM
NPTF and NPT share the same thread form and pitch, so standard NPT fittings will physically thread in. The difference is in how they seal. NPTF threads are machined to tighter tolerances so the threads themselves crush together and form the seal without relying on tape or sealant. If you use regular NPT fittings, you'll want to apply thread sealant to get a reliable seal at 250 bar. At that pressure rating, skipping the sealant on a standard NPT fitting is asking for a slow weep over time.

How does the VFD50-30-A handle different flow rates?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 12, 2025, 7:10 AM
For applications requiring variable flow control, the VFD50-30-A is designed to manage flow rates from 0 to 30 L/min (0 to 7.9 US gpm). This flexibility makes it ideal for adjusting hydraulic actuator speeds as needed.
