Question by: Janice H on Sep 16, 2025, 7:24 PM
trying to replace a fitting on a -16 hose, is this one the straight sae code 61 split flange with the 1.75 head?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 18, 2025, 12:01 PM
Match-up wise, it is a straight crimp fitting built for a -16 hose, and the flange end is an SAE Code 61 split flange with a 1.75 inch flange head diameter.
Question by: Denise R on Nov 29, 2025, 7:10 PM
we run a system with some heavy pressure spikes and shock hazards. you reckon this fitting will hold up alright
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 1, 2025, 6:40 AM
General purpose low and medium pressure setups are the intended application here. You will want to look at the H277 or H435 models if your hydraulic system experiences actual shock hazards.
Question by: Patty W on Feb 21, 2026, 8:06 PM
fitting won't need a mandrel or thread sealant, right? just want to make sure before i order a bunch of these for a crimp job we got coming up
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 23, 2026, 3:26 PM
Correct on both counts. No mandrel is required for installation, and thread sealant is not used with this fitting. That keeps the assembly process pretty straightforward, especially when you're running through a batch of them.
Question by: Dean P on May 20, 2025, 8:04 PM
Will this fitting work with a standard hydraulic setup on my farm equipment?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 22, 2025, 8:08 AM
This fitting is designed for general-purpose, low- to medium-pressure hydraulic systems. It's especially good where you might have shock hazards, so it should be a solid choice for farm equipment, particularly if you're using H277 or H435 hoses.
Question by: Kirk M on Aug 6, 2025, 4:17 PM
got a -16 hose and need a straight code 61 split flange end. is 1A16FL16 the right match for that 1.75 inch flange head?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 8, 2025, 6:46 AM
For fit, 1A16FL16 is a straight crimp fitting built for -16 hose size and it uses a 1.75 inch SAE Code 61 split flange head diameter, so it lines up with the combo you described.
