Question by: Peggy C on Jun 16, 2025, 8:08 PM
got a -16 hose and need a 45 elbow with a 1.75 split flange, is this the right crimp end?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 17, 2025, 8:55 PM
Match it up by the key sizes: it’s a steel crimp fitting built for -16 hose, with a 45 degree elbow and a 1.75 inch SAE Code 61 split flange female end.
Question by: Gary M on Jun 28, 2025, 8:20 AM
putting this on a loader that gets a lot of line shock. is it gonna hold up alright
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 30, 2025, 6:36 AM
Shock hazards actually require a different setup. For applications dealing with heavy pressure spikes or shock, you will need to use H277 or H435 options instead. Those TTC steel crimp fittings are meant specifically for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic systems without those hazards.
Question by: Ross H on Nov 3, 2025, 4:20 PM
Trying to swap out a fitting on a -16 hose, is this one the 45 degree elbow with the 1.75 inch SAE Code 61 split flange?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 5, 2025, 7:51 AM
It matches a -16 hose and uses a 1.75 inch SAE Code 61 split flange on the female end, and the body is a 45 degree elbow.
Question by: Larry R on Apr 13, 2025, 11:16 AM
Will this fitting hold up for general hydraulic use on my tractor?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 15, 2025, 8:47 AM
This Danfoss TTC steel crimp fitting is designed for general-purpose low and medium-pressure hydraulics, so it should work fine on a tractor, particularly where there might be shock hazards. Just make sure your system is within its pressure rating.
Question by: Gary H on May 1, 2025, 7:06 PM
does this fitting work without needing a mandrel during install, or do i need special tooling to get it seated right?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 3, 2025, 1:30 PM
No mandrel is required for installation, which cuts down on the equipment you need on hand and speeds up the process considerably. Thread sealant is also not needed, so you can get the connection made without extra prep steps. It's a steel crimp fitting, so a standard crimp tool compatible with 1 and 2 wire braid hose is what you're working with.
