Question by: Donna A on Nov 26, 2025, 7:13 AM
Will this fitting hold up in a hydraulic system that sees frequent pressure spikes?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 27, 2025, 4:01 PM
Crafted from Global TTC 1 & 2 Wire Braid Steel, this crimp fitting offers good durability for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic systems, especially when used with H277 or H435 hoses where shock hazards exist.
Question by: Howard P on Mar 25, 2025, 1:04 PM
does this fitting work without needing any thread sealant or mandrel during install?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 27, 2025, 6:31 AM
No mandrel and no thread sealant required for this one. That simplifies the crimp process quite a bit, especially in the field where you don't always have extra prep materials on hand. The fitting is a steel crimp style built for 1 and 2 wire braid hose, sized for -16 hose, and the flanged end connects at 2 inches SAE Code 61 split flange. Just make sure you're running it with H277 or H435 hose if there's any risk of shock hazards in your application.
Question by: Larry R on May 28, 2025, 2:38 PM
got a -16 hose on a piece of equipment, will this crimp fitting match up or am i barkin up the wrong tree?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 30, 2025, 9:03 AM
It’s made for a -16 hose and it’s a TTC steel crimp style for 1 and 2 wire braid hose, with the application calling out H277 or H435 where shock hazards exist.
