trying to swap out a fitting, is this one the M18 x 1.5 female swivel with the 24 degree DIN flare, and does it go on -04 hose?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 10, 2025, 10:14 AM
It’s a metric female M18 x 1.5 connection built to the German DIN 3902 24 degree flare style, and the hose end is for -04 size in the Aeroquip TTC 1 and 2 wire braid steel crimp line.
Question by: Tony J on Mar 6, 2026, 9:37 PM
fitting says -04 hose size, does that mean it'll only work with 1 and 2 wire braid hose or can it go on something heavier?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 8, 2026, 12:55 PM
the -04 hose size is correct, and this one is built specifically for 1 and 2 wire braid steel crimp hose. Heavier multi-spiral constructions are outside what this fitting is rated for, so you'd want to match it accordingly when pulling your materials together.
Question by: Jean J on Feb 2, 2026, 12:08 PM
Will this fitting hold up okay in a hydraulic system that sees some shock?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 4, 2026, 8:58 AM
Engineered for general-purpose low and medium-pressure hydraulics, it's designed to provide robust performance specifically in applications where shock hazards exist.
