trying to swap out a fitting on a -10 hose, is this one the 45 elbow with the female JIC swivel?

fitting says it works with H277 and H435 hose for shock hazard situations, does that mean it ain't rated for just any standard hose I got layin around?

For general-purpose low and medium-pressure hydraulic work, this fitting handles standard 1 and 2 wire braid hose just fine. The H277 and H435 callout is specific guidance for applications where shock hazards are present. If your setup involves pressure spikes or shock loading, those are the hose types to pair it with. Outside of that, it covers typical low and medium-pressure hydraulic use without needing those specific hoses.
