trying to swap out an old elbow fitting, what thread is on the swivel end for this one?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 6, 2026, 6:09 AM
On the swivel end you are looking at a 1-5/16-12 female JIC 37 degree flare connection.
Question by: Freddie C on Nov 29, 2025, 1:31 PM
does this fitting work on -16 hose or is the 1-5/16-12 thread the hose end size? trying to figure out which number refers to what
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 30, 2025, 6:04 PM
The 1-5/16-12 is the thread specification on the female JIC swivel end, meaning it connects to a port or adapter with matching 1-5/16-12 threads and a 37-degree flare seat. The -16 refers to the hose end, so you need a -16 hose to crimp onto the other side. Two different measurements, two different ends.

Is this fitting gonna hold up in a hydraulic system where it gets vibrated a good bit?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 10, 2026, 6:57 AM
It's made for general purpose, low to medium pressure hydraulic applications, especially where you might have shock hazards. So, yeah, it should be pretty durable.
Question by: Rick H on Jan 28, 2026, 2:21 PM
got a -16 hose and need a 45 degree turn, is this the right crimp end if i want a female JIC swivel
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 30, 2026, 6:57 AM
For a -16 hose with a 45 degree elbow, this fitting matches up as a steel crimp end with a female JIC 37 degree flare swivel. The thread on the swivel side is 1-5/16-12, so it is meant to mate to that JIC flare connection size.
