got a -24 hose, will this fitting crimp onto it and what thread is on the other end?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 2, 2025, 6:25 AM
For a -24 hose, this is a straight steel crimp fitting in the Aeroquip TTC style made for 1 and 2 wire braid hose. The threaded end is a 1-1/2-11-1/2 male NPTF connection.

fitting says no thread sealant needed, is that right for an NPT connection this size?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 9, 2025, 12:09 PM
NPTF threads are cut to a tighter tolerance than standard NPT, so the threads themselves form the seal when properly made up. No sealant is required for this fitting right out of the box. That said, the connection still needs to be torqued correctly to fully engage the thread interference fit. A dry, properly torqued NPTF joint holds pressure without tape or compound.
