The Aeroquip by Danfoss / Eaton 1A Series Crimp Hose Fittings are designed for general-purpose low and medium pressure hydraulics. These fittings are constructed from steel and are suitable for use with TTC 1 & 2 wire braid hoses.
The fitting is engineered to accommodate a 0.25 inch NPTF male end and a -06 hose interface. Specifically, the fitting features a thread specification of 1/4-18, ensuring compatibility with similarly threaded components. The hex size for the hose interface is 0.69 inches, providing solid integration and durability.
It's built for applications where shock hazards exist, such as using H277 or H435 hoses. As a product from Danfoss Power Solutions, this crimp fitting showcases quality and reliability suitable for various hydraulic applications. The need for a mandrel is eliminated with this model, making installation straightforward and efficient.
End type and gender specifications ensure that the fitting aligns well with your hydraulic system requirements.

trying to replace a straight male pipe end on my -06 hose, is this the right one with 1/4-18 threads?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 30, 2025, 6:16 AM
You are looking at a straight steel crimp fitting that mates to a -06 hose and has a 1/4-18 male NPTF pipe thread on the other end. If your old end is 1/4-18 male NPTF and it crimps onto -06 hose, that matches the key sizing on this fitting.

Will this fitting hold up okay in a hydraulic system that sees some shocks from time to time?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 29, 2025, 7:05 AM
Specifically, this fitting is suitable where you have shock hazards, especially when paired with H277 or H435 hoses.
Question by: Howard G on Mar 3, 2026, 6:31 PM
fitting says no mandrel needed, does that mean i can crimp this straight onto a -06 hose without any extra tooling inside the hose end?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 5, 2026, 6:40 AM
Correct, no mandrel is required for this fitting. That simplifies the crimp process quite a bit since you're not having to source or seat a separate internal component before crimping. Just prep your -06 hose end and crimp directly using compatible tooling for the 1A series. It keeps the assembly process cleaner and cuts down on steps at the bench.
