trying to replace a straight male pipe end fitting. is this one a 1/4-18 male NPT for -08 hose?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 14, 2026, 8:28 AM
The pipe thread is 1/4-18 male NPTF on one end, and the hose side is for -08 hose. It’s a straight Global TTC 1A Series steel crimp fitting.
Question by: Terry W on Aug 1, 2025, 4:24 PM
fitting says it works with H277 or H435 hose, does that mean it won't work on anything else, or is that just where it's been tested/rated?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 2, 2025, 4:53 PM
For shock hazard applications specifically, H277 and H435 are what this fitting is rated for, so those are the hose types you want to stick with in those conditions. General-purpose low and medium pressure hydraulics is the intended use case here, and pairing it outside those hose specs in a shock environment would move you outside what's supported. If your setup doesn't involve shock hazards, the broader 1 and 2 wire braid compatibility still applies, but the H277 and H435 callout is there for a reason when things get rough.

Can this fitting handle general hydraulic work without being too specialized?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 8, 2025, 6:58 AM
It's a good choice for general-purpose hydraulic systems, especially in low to medium pressure situations where there might be shock hazards.
