Does this thing need any kind of setup before you run it through a line, like valve adjustments or anything like that?

No prep work needed on that front. The UC20 runs without valve adjustments, no mandrel requirements, and no electrical hookup of any kind. You just put it to work. There's also no color-coding to sort out beforehand since it comes in a fixed design, so there's nothing to configure before use.
