Question by: Hugh P on Sep 27, 2025, 9:23 PM
Will this hose hold up to regular gasoline, or is it just for diesel?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 29, 2025, 7:37 AM
Actually, this hose can handle both diesel and gasoline, along with hot lube oil and water. It's even rated for marine fuel systems, meeting SAE J1527 Type A1 standards.
Question by: Earl K on Aug 25, 2025, 10:30 AM
does this hose hold up to gasoline or just diesel? trying to figure out if it'll work for both on my boat
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 27, 2025, 6:51 AM
Rated for both gasoline and diesel fuel, along with hot lube oil and water. It uses an AQP elastomer tube with brass plated steel wire reinforcement and a braided refractory insulation layer, so it's built to handle the fuel types you'd run into in a marine setup without breaking down from exposure.
Question by: Duane D on Feb 23, 2026, 10:35 AM
i’m swapping out a small fuel line on my boat. is this the 1/4 inch stuff, and what’s the outside diameter?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 24, 2026, 8:24 PM
For sizing, the inside diameter is 0.25 inch and the outside diameter is 0.58 inch, so it matches a quarter inch ID hose but has a thicker overall build.
Question by: Billy D on Mar 10, 2026, 2:35 PM
hose rated for gasoline and diesel both, or just one or the other?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 11, 2026, 8:54 PM
Both. The FC234 handles gasoline, diesel fuel, hot lube oil, and water service. The AQP elastomer tube and brass plated steel wire reinforcement give it the chemical resistance to run either fuel type without issue, so you don't need separate hoses for mixed-fuel applications on the same vessel.
