The Salami VD10A Series Valve Outlet offers high performance and reliability for industrial applications. Designed to function within an ambient temperature range of 86deg;F to 140deg;F, it ensures consistent operation under demanding conditions.
With a flow rating of 32 GPM and optimal fluid viscosity ranging from 12 cSt to 75 cSt, this valve outlet is suitable for a variety of fluid control needs. It can withstand a maximum operating pressure of 4000 PSI on port "P" and 4500 PSI on ports "A" and "B", making it highly durable.
Internal leakage is maintained between 2.43 - 3.34 insup3;/min. at 2285 PSI, ensuring efficiency and minimizing fluid loss. The fluid temperature range extends from -4deg;F to 185deg;F when using standard NBR seals, allowing for flexible application in different temperature environments.
Maximum back pressure is 363 PSI on outlet port "T". It is recommended to follow ISO 4406: 19/16 filtration standards to maintain optimal performance and longevity.

Question by: Janice J on Apr 9, 2025, 12:00 PM
What kind of fluid works best in this Salami valve?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 11, 2025, 8:44 AM
Optimal fluid viscosity for the VD10A Series is between 12 cSt and 75 cSt, though it can handle a minimum of 10 cSt and a maximum of 460 cSt. Keep in mind the technical data was collected using mineral oil with a viscosity of 16 cSt.
Question by: Earl H on Oct 2, 2025, 6:33 PM
Running this on a system that tops out around 3,800 PSI on the pressure port. That gonna be within spec for this valve?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 3, 2025, 9:24 PM
At 3,800 PSI on the P port, you're sitting comfortably under the 4,000 PSI maximum rated for that port. The A and B ports are actually rated even higher, up to 4,500 PSI, so those won't be a concern either. Just keep an eye on your return line pressure and make sure it stays under 363 PSI at the T port outlet, because that limit is a separate consideration from the working pressure rating.
Question by: Keith H on Dec 13, 2025, 7:22 PM
What kind of fluid should I be using with this valve?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 15, 2025, 7:17 AM
Optimal performance for this valve outlet is achieved when using fluid with a viscosity between 12 cSt and 75 cSt. It can handle a minimum of 10 cSt and a maximum of 460 cSt.
Question by: Glen G on Oct 12, 2025, 1:58 PM
running this valve outlet on a 32 gpm circuit, am i gonna be within its sweet spot or am i pushing it
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 14, 2025, 6:23 AM
For flow, you are right at its rated capacity since the VD10A outlet section is listed at 32 GPM. Keeping the oil in the stated viscosity window helps it behave like it should, with 12 to 75 cSt called out as the optimal range.
Question by: Rex G on Nov 18, 2025, 2:37 PM
what's the max pressure this valve outlet can handle on the work ports?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 20, 2025, 6:37 AM
Ports A and B are rated up to 4500 PSI, while port P tops out at 4000 PSI. Back pressure on the tank port T is limited to 363 PSI, so keep that in mind when sizing your return line. Those are hard limits based on the published specs for this unit.
