The Salami VD12A-02P175/SAE 16 inlet module is part of the Salami VD12A Series, designed for hydraulic applications requiring precise flow control.
This inlet module features a flow rating of 48 GPM and is designed to operate within a fluid viscosity range of 12 cSt to 75 cSt for optimal performance, with a minimum of 10 cSt and a maximum of 460 cSt. It is capable of handling a maximum operating pressure of 4000 PSI on ports "P" and 4500 PSI on ports "A" and "B".
This Salami inlet module is suitable for use within an ambient temperature range of 86°F to 140°F and a fluid temperature range of -4°F to 185°F when using standard NBR seals.

Question by: Kent C on Nov 27, 2025, 12:58 PM
what's the max pressure this valve handles on the work ports, and does that differ from the pressure rating on the inlet?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 29, 2025, 6:49 AM
Yes, there's a difference worth knowing. Port "P" on the inlet is rated to 4000 PSI, while ports "A" and "B" carry a higher rating of 4500 PSI. The outlet port "T" has a back pressure limit of 363 PSI, so keep that in mind when designing your return line. Those aren't the same number, and mixing them up in a system spec could cause problems down the road.
Question by: Neil R on Sep 22, 2025, 6:00 AM
got a system that’ll see around 3800 psi on the pressure line. is this valve alright on the P port?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 23, 2025, 9:17 PM
For operating pressure, ports marked “P” are rated up to 4000 PSI, while ports “A” and “B” are rated up to 4500 PSI. Staying at about 3800 PSI on the P port fits inside the stated maximum.

What kind of fluid works best in this Salami VD12A valve?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 31, 2025, 8:25 PM
Optimal fluid viscosity for the Salami VD12A-02P175/SAE 16 is between 12 cSt and 75 cSt. It can handle a minimum of 10 cSt and a maximum of 460 cSt, but works best in the sweet spot.
Question by: Larry J on Feb 16, 2026, 8:49 AM
got a VD12A inlet module setup already, how do i tell if this one’s gonna keep up on flow without choking it down
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 18, 2026, 6:51 AM
For flow capacity, the VD12A-02P175/SAE 16 is rated at 48 GPM. Staying at or under that flow rating helps avoid turning the inlet section into the bottleneck in your stack.
