This Salami VD6A Series Inlet Module features cast-iron bodies and is designed with up to 8 work sections. This VD6A Series Inlet Module offers parallel, series, and tandem circuits with load check valve protection on each section. Open and closed center with power beyond options.

Spools are hardened steel and nickel-plated, along with interchangeable spools and double acting, single acting, motor, cylinder, and float spool selections. Several types of mid-inlet modules. Available controls: manual, cable, electric, electro-hydraulic, proportional hydraulic, pneumatic, proportional pneumatic, and electro-pneumatic. The inlet relief (2190 PSI - 3190 PSI) has a flow rating of 12 GPM and a maximum operating pressure of 5100 PSI on ports P, A, and B.

Reckon this inlet relief would work okay with regular hydraulic fluid, or does it need somethin' special?

This unit handles standard mineral oil just fine, as long as the viscosity stays between 10 cSt and 400 cSt. Optimal performance is in the 12 cSt to 75 cSt range.
