The Salami VDM6/VD6 Spool Seal Kit is designed for robust industrial applications. Crafted by Salami S.p.A this kit includes cast-iron bodies and hardened steel nickel-plated spools for durability. It supports up to 8 work sections and offers Parallel Series and Tandem circuits each with Load Check valve protection. Both Open and Closed center configurations with Power Beyond options are available.

Fluid temperature ranges from -4deg;F to 185deg;F and the maximum operating pressure reaches 5100 PSI on ports P A and B. The ambient temperature range is -22deg;F to 140deg;F optimized for various industrial environments.

Additional features include interchangeable spools several types of Mid-Inlet modules and auxiliary valves for ports A and B. Controls available range from manual to electro-pneumatic.

Internal leakage measures 1.1 - 1.52 insup3;/min. at 2285 PSI and the maximum back pressure is 363 PSI on outlet port T. Note that all technical data is determined using mineral oil with a viscosity of 16 cSt and contamination level 19/16 as per ISO 4406.

Fluid viscosity ranges from 12 cSt to 75 cSt with a minimum of 10 cSt and a maximum of 400 cSt. Recommended filtration is ISO 4406: 19/16.

these seal kits, do they hold up when the fluid temps swing pretty wide out in the field?

Standard NBR seals in this kit are rated for fluid temperatures between -4°F and 185°F, so you've got a solid working range for most real-world conditions. Ambient temps are covered from -22°F up to 140°F as well. As long as you're running mineral oil and keeping viscosity between 10 cSt on the low end and 400 cSt on the high end, the seals are built to handle the variation without giving you trouble.
