The robust Salami VD6A Series features cast-iron bodies and supports a flow rating of 12 GPM with optimal fluid temperatures ranging from -4deg;F to 185deg;F.

With hardened steel nickel-plated spools and a maximum operating pressure of 5100 PSI this detent kit ensures reliable performance. It includes load check valve protection on each section and can operate efficiently within an ambient temperature range of -22deg;F to 140deg;F.

It offers configurations in parallel series and tandem circuits alongside open and closed center options with Power Beyond. Mid-inlet modules and auxiliary valves for ports A and B enhance its versatility.

The Salami R2 DETENT Kit provides various control options including manual cable electric electro-hydraulic proportional hydraulic pneumatic proportional pneumatic and electro-pneumatic. The interchangeable spools come in selections such as double acting single acting motor cylinder and float.

Venting valves and high-efficiency filtration per ISO 4406: 19/16 specifications contribute to its durability and performance.

What's the fluid temperature range on this detent kit, and does it hold up if the hydraulic system runs on the warmer side for long stretches?

With standard NBR seals, the fluid temperature range runs from -4°F up to 185°F. That upper limit gives you a reasonable buffer for systems that tend to run warm, though keeping fluid temps consistently near the top of that range will put more wear on the seals over time. For optimal performance, staying within that window rather than pushing right up against 185°F is the smarter play.

got a VD6A setup on a 12 gpm system, is this detent kit gonna be ok pressure wise?

For limits, it is rated up to 5100 PSI on ports P, A, and B, with a max of 363 PSI back pressure on the outlet port T. Flow is listed at 12 GPM for the VD6A series, so it lines up with a 12 GPM system from a capacity standpoint.
