The SALAMI VDM8/DDD/U4S is designed for optimal performance with features such as cast-iron monoblock construction that supports up to five spools. The parallel circuit with load check valve protection ensures efficient operations.

It includes a venting valve and power beyond capabilities. The hardened steel nickel-plated spools offer superior surface hardness and resistance to corrosion. Interchangeable spools with minimal tolerance between spool and body reduce internal leakage.

Different spool types and auxiliary valves on port A/B are available along with a variety of control and positioning devices. With an ambient temperature range from -22F to 140F it is suitable for diverse environments.

Recommended fluid viscosity ranges from 10 to 400 cSt with an optimal range of 12 to 75 cSt. Internal leakage is maintained between 1.52 to 2.13 in/min at 2285 PSI. The valve supports a maximum back pressure of 363 PSI and operates at a maximum pressure of 5100 PSI on ports "P" "A" and "B".

got a system that sees some cold mornings and hot afternoons. what temp range will this VDM8 valve tolerate?

For ambient conditions, it is rated from -22°F up to 140°F. For fluid and seal temperature, it is listed at -4°F to 185°F when using NBR seals.

what's the max pressure this valve handles on the work ports?

Ports P, A, and B are all rated to 5100 PSI, so you've got consistent pressure capacity across the main circuit. Back pressure on the return side is limited to 363 PSI, which is worth keeping in mind when you're sizing your return line. All that pressure data was validated using mineral oil at 16 cSt viscosity with a contamination level of 19/16 per ISO 4406.
