The Salami VDM8/DDDD/U4S monoblock valve is engineered for superior performance with a cast-iron construction capable of accommodating up to five spools. Utilizing a parallel circuit and load check valve protection this component ensures optimal functionality under challenging conditions.

Built with hardened steel nickel-plated spools the valve attains higher surface hardness and offers corrosion resistance. A variety of spool types and control devices are available enhancing customization for specific applications.

The design incorporates venting valve and power-beyond features catering to diverse operational needs. With minimum tolerance between the spool and body the valve achieves minimal internal leakage ranging between 1.52 to 2.13 in/min at 2285 PSI.

Designed for an ambient temperature range of -22F to 140F and fluid viscosity between 10 to 400 cSt with optimal operation between 12 to 75 cSt. The valve supports a maximum back pressure of 363 PSI and operates effectively at up to 5100 PSI on ports "P" "A" and "B".

Auxiliary valves are available for ports A and B providing additional versatility. Recommended filtration follows ISO 4406: 19/16 standards ensuring optimal fluid purity.

what's the internal leakage like on this valve? running a pretty tight system and can't afford much slop

At 2285 PSI, internal leakage runs between 1.52 and 2.13 cubic inches per minute. That's a result of the minimum tolerance machined between the spool and body, which Salami holds pretty close on this series. The hardened, nickel-plated spools also help maintain that fit over time compared to softer materials that can wear and open up clearances faster.

What kind of temperatures can this valve handle, operating and storage wise?

This valve is designed to work in ambient temperatures from -22°F to 140°F. For optimal performance with NBR seals, keep the temperature between -4° and 185°F.
