Part of the Salami VDP08 Series, this work module delivers load-independent flow control through a pressure-compensated design rated at 4.2 GPM. The spool functions as a variable throttle with a constant pressure drop maintained across it, so each spool position produces a predictable, repeatable flow rate regardless of load conditions elsewhere in the circuit. Manual control (NL) and a double-acting cylinder spool configuration are standard, with work port valves plugged at PRA and PRB, and SAE -10 work port connections.
Compatible with mineral oil across a fluid viscosity range of 12 to 75 cSt optimal, and rated for fluid temperatures from -4°F to 185°F with standard NBR seals. Maximum operating pressure reaches 4,560 PSI on the pressure port and 5,000 PSI on the work ports, with a maximum back pressure of 145 PSI at the tank port. Internal leakage is 1.8 to 2.1 in³/min at 2,285 PSI. Recommended filtration is ISO 4406: 19/16. Ambient operating temperature range is 86°F to 140°F.

What kind of oil should I be running in this thing, and is there a temp range I need to stick to?

Mineral oil is what Salami used to get all the technical specs. They were running a viscosity of 16 cSt, with a contamination level of 19/16 per ISO 4406. As for temps, you'll want to stay between -4°F and 185°F if you're using standard NBR seals.
