The set combines fabric-reinforced rubber and urethane vee rings with nylon top and bottom adaptors. The "How to Order" code structure identifies the quantity of each component: the first number indicates top nylon adaptors, the second urethane vee rings, the third fabric vee rings, and the fourth bottom nylon adaptors. This modular construction allows the stack to be configured for different pressure requirements, four vees handle up to 3,000 PSI, five vees up to 5,000 PSI, and six vees up to 10,000 PSI. The operating temperature range spans -65°F to 220°F, covering a broad range of hydraulic service conditions.

got a cylinder gland set up for a 1.00" rod and 1.50" bore. is this packing gonna drop in or am i trimming it down

how do i know how many vee rings i need for my cylinder setup, is there a rule for that

Pressure requirements drive the count. Four vees in the stack handles up to 3,000 PSI, five vees gets you up to 5,000 PSI, and six vees covers up to 10,000 PSI. The set uses a combination of urethane and fabric-reinforced rubber vee rings along with nylon adaptors on top and bottom, so the number of vee rings you include is what scales the pressure rating up or down. Once you know your working pressure, you can configure the stack accordingly without needing to modify any of the components.
