The W900 Series gear pump from Concentric Rockford Inc offers a displacement of 0.49 cu in/rev, characterized by a robust 2-bolt SAE A mounting flange and a 3/4 st.keyed shaft. Ideally suited for direct axial drives, it features a SAE-12 side inlet and SAE-10 side outlet ports, with a clockwise rotation mechanism.

Constructed with high-strength aluminum housings and durable cast iron end covers, this model ensures reliable performance even under demanding conditions. Its through bore bushing type design, combined with 13-tooth gears and optimized trapping configuration, contributes to decreased noise levels and increased efficiency.

Capable of withstanding continuous operating temperatures up to 200deg;F, the gear pump delivers an impressive overall efficiency of 90%, volumetric efficiency of 98%, and mechanical efficiency of 92%. The W900 Series is designed to handle a pressure rating of 4000 PSI and a speed rating of up to 4000 RPM.

To maintain optimal performance, it is recommended to use ISO 4406 Cleanliness Level 18/14 or cleaner fluid filtration. For applications involving radial or thrust loads, additional assistance is recommended.

got a direct-coupled setup. is this pump meant to be driven straight off the shaft, or do i need to worry about side load on it?

For direct axial drive, it’s a good fit since that’s the recommended application. Side loading is the thing to watch, because the notes call out that radial and thrust loads are a case where you want extra application support rather than treating it like a side-load tolerant pump.
