Danfoss / Eaton Swivel Union 16S

Description & Features

Designed for demanding hydraulic circuits, the Danfoss / Eaton Swivel Union 16S is a metric tube fitting from Eaton's Waltech product line, engineered to provide reliable, leak-resistant connections across a wide range of industrial applications. The swivel union configuration allows rotational movement during assembly, simplifying installation in tight or awkward routing situations without placing stress on the tube.

Built with corrosion protection to reduce maintenance intervals and support uptime in critical hydraulic systems, this fitting is suitable for use across varied environmental conditions. Waltech fittings are available in both metric and imperial sizes, offering broad compatibility across equipment configurations. The 16S designation corresponds to a 15.875 mm tube ID, positioning this fitting within the mid-range metric sizing commonly used in mobile and industrial hydraulic equipment. It is classified as a union adapter type within the Eaton Aeroquip portfolio.

putting lines together in a tight spot, does this swivel union let you clock it without twisting the tube up?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 6, 2025, 6:25 PM
With the swivel union style, the fitting can rotate during assembly so you can line things up in cramped routing without putting the tube in a bind.

swivel union 16S -- does that swivel feature actually help when you're routing lines through a tight spot, or is it more just for fine-tuning after the fact?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 23, 2025, 7:47 PM
Rotational movement during assembly is exactly what the swivel is there for. When you're working in a cramped area and the tube routing doesn't give you a clean, straight shot, the swivel lets the fitting turn so you can seat it without torquing the tube itself. That takes a lot of the frustration out of awkward installations and keeps stress off the line once everything's locked down.

Will this swivel union work alright in a hydraulic setup that sees some pretty rough use?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 18, 2026, 8:05 AM
Designed with demanding hydraulic circuits in mind, this swivel union has corrosion protection to increase uptime and reduce maintenance costs, so it should hold up well in harsh conditions.
