Product Questions & Answers (1)
Question by: Jerry H on Feb 22, 2026, 12:49 PM
Running a 3-inch wet exhaust on a repowered inboard and need a 45 angle to clear the stringers. This elbow rated for continuous use or just occasional high-heat situations?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 23, 2026, 5:04 PM
Continuous use is exactly what this is built for. The EPDM rubber compound is rated at 250 degrees F for ongoing operation, not just short bursts. Heavy-wall molded construction keeps back pressure down during sustained running, which matters in a tight engine room where heat builds up. Just make sure the water injection point is upstream enough that temps at the elbow's location don't climb past that 250 degree mark, and you're in good shape. Carries a 5-year warranty as well.
