trying to run a bigger cylinder with a cordless pump, is this one actually up to it or is it more for light stuff

brushless motor on this thing, how's it stack up speed-wise compared to a standard corded electric pump?

Running a brushless motor puts it right on par with a 1/2 HP electric pump for flow rates, so you're not giving up much by cutting the cord. The bigger advantage is longevity. Brushless motors typically last about twice as long as brushed ones, so there's less wear to worry about over time. For field work or anywhere running a cord is a hassle, it holds its own against corded units without the noise or need for a generator.
